WHY
TAKE ACTION
  1. Why

Taking action under Delight foundation Africa is to take a tangible or intangible step towards instinctively influencing the rights and privileges of the vulnerable orphans and street children in Uganda {Africa}.

You are going to find ways on how you can help a suffering child in Africa find social justice and find the world a safer place to live.

Here are some of the ways on how you can take action in Delight foundation Africa

  2. ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN

To advocate is to support an idea, move or a particular cause to produce a desired positive change. As Delight foundation Africa, we vehemently advocate for the rights and privileges of the marginalized vulnerable children because of our strong feeling towards child protection.

One target of advocacy is influencing government policy worldwide through communicating effectively to United Nations, Elected officials, influential leaders and the media. Poor and vulnerable children around the world cannot lobby for themselves; we therefore need advocates to support child protection, Nutrition, education, and health programs.

    What Can You Do?

You can contact the United Nations at www.un.org and view their child protection policies. You can also work closely with Delight foundation Africa and the Uganda media.

    GENERAL PROCEDURE FOR EFFECTIVE ADVOCACY

Identify yourself by stating your name and any other relevant information about you, a parent, Delight foundation supporter, partner, organization etc.

Vividly describe your area of concern and state your goals. As an advocate, make your issue personal, speak in your own words and use relevant examples.

Be confident in your approach because you probably know more about the issue than the person you’re talking to. Ensure calmness and politeness under all circumstances because your message may be ignored. Remember that the person you are convincing is open to reason and discussion. Don’t be rude.

Be precise and concise during your communication. Stick to the issue, if in writing; limit the letter to one page. It is more effective. Communicate your message when immediately necessary. Use facts and accurate statistics to back your argument. Back up your argument with the necessary facts and accurate statistics.
